FAQ

What do I feed my puppy?

We send all of our puppies home with a care package that includes a small blanket that smells like mom and litter mates, as well as a small bag of dog food to transition them onto whatever feed you will use.

Where to begin with Potty Training?

At Country Sky Doodles we want the transition from our home to your home to be as stress-free as possible for your new puppy and you. Part of this is potty training. By the time you pick up your puppy, they will have already been started on crate training. We believe crate training is one of the best and fastest ways to teach a young puppy where to use the bathroom.

Are Doodles hard to keep up on grooming?

Unlike other dog breeds, Doodle breeds have little to no shedding. Because of this, they require constant brushing and haircuts. We recommend brushing your puppy a couple of times per week, and depending on the desired length, get them groomed every couple of months.

Will my puppy be Vaccinated?

Yes, by the time you pick up your puppy, they will have their first set of Vaccines. However, they will still need more vaccines when they get a little older before they are considered safe from deadly viruses. We recommend being careful where you decide to put your new puppy down to go the bathroom. They are not fully vaccinated at this point and the Parvo virus is so deadly to little puppies. The virus can live in the ground for up to two years. They should be done with their shots at 16 weeks of age, or soon after that. They need a shot every 3-4 weeks. Not sooner than 3 weeks from the last shot and not later than 4.

How big will my Doodle get?

We do our best to determine the size of your puppy by genetic testing and mom/dad size but with doodle breeds, you can never be exact. We can give a pretty good estimated range though.
